Kudos to Jerry Garner!

Tylertown’s Vintage Fly In was a success! Kudos to Jerry Sumrall-Garner, Treasurer of the Mississippi Chapter Ninety-Nines, for organizing the event! Our Chapter raised over $250 by selling T-Shirts, cookies and drinks at our booth!

The event opened up with the raising of the American Flag by the Boys Scouts Color Guard, followed by prayer and a welcome address given by the Walthal County Supervisor, Larry Montgomery. As everyone flew in, the excitement grew intense! David Mars graced the event by giving rides in his TravelAir, while others were giving rides in their RV6’s and Mooney’s! Jan & David Oreck flew in for a visit as well! Big fun!

Jerry flies for fun out of Paul Pitman’s Airport (T36). She owns a Cessna 172 and currently holds a Private Pilots license. Jerry also is the Chairman of the Airport Board where she’s one of many who run the Tylertown Airport, which is scheduled to receive a new fueling system, new hangers with taxiways. Kudos and happy skies to Jerry!
